EFFECTIVENESS OF FOOT REFLEXOLOGY ON PAIN AMONG HEMODIALYSIS PATIENTS

Background:Hemodialysis is the most important treatment for chronic kidney disease. The occurrence of negative symptoms dialysis therapy such as pain, sleep disorder, depression, fluctuations in blood pressure reduce Quality life and cause illness to be perceived burdensome. Foot reflexology serves relax, improve circulation promote a general feeling wellness among hemodialysis patients. Aim:To assess effectiveness foot on pain Material& Methods:A quasi-experimental pretest posttest control group design was used. 302 patients underwent were selected from two center. given 2 weeks an alternative day. Researcher used numerical rating scale assessing Results:Inthestudygroupthepre-testmeanwas 7.15 withSDof2.29reducedto 2.02 with SD 1.97 post-test III which gives evidence that therewas significant difference between observations P<0.001 level pain. In groupthepre-testmeanwas 7.08 withSDof2.25 mean 6.25 1.70 shows no pre Conclusion:Foot safe effective tool, helps reducing This study highlights need adopting hospital settings.
